No fools here…

No fools here…
This month we start off talking about a talented bunch. We teamed up with and supported the Bloggers Abroad Event 2017.

This year was a real hit with thousands casting their vote. Bloggers Abroad is a competition held every year. is part of the Oxford dictionaries family since 2015. This particular event features the most engaging bloggers who write about their life abroad and their adventures in a foreign country. It was the perfect marriage for us and our “feel like a local everywhere” attitude. Our bags have been sent to all parts of the globe to the very deserving winners. Check out the top ten bloggers here. Get in touch and share your experiences.

We also teamed up with UKLingua at Durham University through our dear friend Nathalie Paris for the second meet up which took place on the weekend of the 22nd. This conference is aimed at all MFL, ESL teachers and researchers. Feedback was great with some wonderful snaps of the day shared on twitter.

We attend a huge amount of events this month. At the tall ships festival, we got chatting to people from all over, especially the crew from the Netherlands ships noticing our “I speak…” Chatter Bags. We have to mention the London marathon I mean, WOW! A few of the team were out showing their support just before the finish line. We watched people run like gazelles and others painstakingly finish the last mile, people of all ages and fitness levels entered this amazing event. The kindness was on tap and it showed the true spirit of Londoners and people from all over the world who took part. I was like a seal clapping so much with admiration for each and every one who entered and raised money.

I can’t leave you all without saying Happy Easter, I hope those of you who celebrated got a chance to share it with your nearest and dearest.  The greeting when we got back to work on Tuesday morning was not “Good Morning” but “so, what egg did you get?”

Finally, not one person caught me out with an April fool’s joke… #Winner!

Chat to you all in May!

Big Love,

Mark and the chocolate crazy team xx

The friendliest month of the year!

31 March 2017
The friendliest month of the year!
We love March!

Spring is in the air, the daffodils are in full bloom and the evenings are getting longer! Which means, more socialising Woo Hoo! So this season we are going all out and getting our chat on. Watch out for our team and our popups and say hi your way, keep in touch on twitter @ChatterBags.

Talking about saying hi! We got chatting with some awesome people at Kings College London recently. We were invited to be part of the official launch of the new language centre, it’s pretty impressive! Our stand was visited by Students, Professors, and Doctors to name but a few.  What a great bunch of inspiring people, all with great stories and experiences which we could all relate too. There was a great display of tongue twisting lingo, people switching from one language to another for general chit chat.

The day started off with a conference on translation and finished with the ribbon cutting for the centre. Overall a great day, meeting people from universities up and down the country, hopefully you will see us in a school or uni near you soon.

So from one of the friendliest openings we’ve attended to the friendliest day of the year, it’s all matching up perfectly. St Patrick’s Day did its job again this year. You can’t help but love the Irish, they just ooze fun and passion for life and boy do they know how to party. So much so they closed off Trafalgar square for a weekend of music, dancing, and the craic!! Our founder is a proud Irish man and comes from a city voted one of the friendliest in the world (Kilkenny) his love of people and places is why this multi-award winning company exists today. Yeahy!

And last but not least this was a very special month for all the ladies in our lives, it was international women’s day and Mother’s day too We would be lost without them and in our opinion, every day is a special with these amazing ladies and are thankful for everything you do,

Next month we chat at a bloggers event, conferences and much, much more!

Speak soon :)

Big Love,

Chatter Bags Team xx

We’re talking all things fashion & friendships

28 February 2017
We’re talking all things fashion & friendships
We start off the shortest month of the year with some of our biggest news. Chatter Bags has made its debut at Fashion Week. We were walking the walk and talking the talk! A new date on the fashion calendar it was Amsterdam’s turn to flaunt it and they did not disappoint.  So, who wore our designs?

We teamed up with City Jet, W Hotels, and The Westergasfabriek to help welcome some of the most influential bloggers around. This collaboration happened because one of the Account Directors from the luxury hotel chain knew of our brand in the Netherlands and felt it would be the perfect accessory to start a conversation and help introduce people to one another and we’re pleased to say from the feedback, it went down a hit. So Kendall Jenner, Kate Moss or David Gandy get in touch, you know where we are should you need one of the world’s most talked about bags!!! Pretty exciting stuff right?

But hey, we think every day is like fashion week for us and our amazing Chatter Bags wearers parading up and down streets all around the globe. Getting people noticed is our thing, and we love it. So fashion to friendships…

Friendships are important for your mental wellbeing (most of the time). It’s becoming much more difficult to find friends, especially if you’re not from the country or you are new to the town or city. These days in the digital space there’s so many ways to meet people, but is it taking away from basic communication skills and the old fashioned way of getting to know people? Look, we know how much this digital age has improved our lives and we are sure it has helped some people make new friends but it’s not for everybody. We think there’s something so satisfying about face to face chats and all the emotions that go along with it. Emoji’s might be the fastest growing “language“ but it can only tell you so much.

In our opinion you don’t need apps to chat. With so many ways out there to make friends, from meet up groups & social groups to park runs and of course Chatter Bags to name but a few. We understand it can be hard and sometimes daunting to start a conversation. This is why created our concept which encourages people to come say hi to you without the awkwardness and it shows common ground and interests straight away. The rest is up to you should you decide to continue the conversation. You never know where it could lead, a friendship for life or the love of your life? If you have been reading our previous posts you will know this not uncommon.  We’ve been called the 3D Tinder in the past, which is great!

Lastly, speaking about love, Valentine’s Day has been here and gone and of course it had many of us were pounding the pavements for flowers, chocolates and the mushy cards. Love it or hate it’s here to stay! We took a great picture of a guy proposing on Southbank check out our twitter to see.

Next month we will be chatting about our trip to Kings College London and we’ll be going all green for the friendliest day of the year, St Patrick’s Day.

Until then,

Big Love!

The Chatter Bags Team x

And that was January!

31 January 2017
And that was January!
Where to start…

Firstly, Happy New Year. We hope 2017 was good to you all so far? It’s been memorable that’s for sure!

It started off with the usual January blues! Back to work, the New Year’s resolutions are barely hanging in there and our ‘get fit’ plan, well, that had to be postponed until February 1st!! All the decorations have been taken down and the only twinkle left is the aircraft in the skies. It's lights out in Piccadilly too! This grey gloomy weather isn’t to everybody’s taste and predictions of snow fall in the south turned out to be a light dusting. Boo, no sleighing in Greenwich Park for us!

Pretty tragic stuff, right?!

Anyway in more serious news, to pick up on last year and our social integration mission. We cannot stress enough why now is the time to bring people closer together. It seems the world is becoming more and more divided. If you read or listen to the daily news headlines, politics are dominating. With stories that are almost coming across as unrealistic as some of the pledges that were made. These stories can have a big impact on us socially. Let’s try keep it together, the world deserves much better. We are in touch with some MP’s explaining how our concept works and are hoping to receive some positive news soon.

Keeping with the news; Loneliness was put in the spotlight again today with another campaign to help tackle it. This is great news, we wish all concerned good luck on their mission. We tweeted our support and will continue to help the fight to prevent more victims of this sad and serious issue. Remember, it takes one person to make a difference. Be that person, start a conversation today.

Events, events and more events! Lot’s going on this time of year. Chatter Bags made it across the water for one special VIP event (more on that next month). This is a very exciting time, our ‘Let’s talk about…’  concept is connecting people in so many ways. Its face to face communication about topics you choose to talk about. Simply tick and talk.  Its win-win. The relevant information is given and received, resulting with a happy customer and vendor. We have a new range of colours and bags which can be tailored to you or your brand’s needs. Find out more here.

Chatter Bags is a versatile social tool that’s made to make conversation. We start the conversation, you finish it!  You can scream from the rooftops about us and we’d love to hear your ideas.

Next month is all about love and boy, does the world need it!

Well we have been called the ‘3D’ Tinder in the past, hopefully we can help someone out!

Chat soon!

Big Love,

Mark & The Team
